This piece is a prayer for protection, guidance, and clarity in uncertain times. It is rooted in the belief that our ancestors, the universe, and the unseen forces that surround us continue to watch over us as we navigate an increasingly chaotic world.

There are days when it feels as though everything is unraveling around us. Political division, economic instability, violence, and constant streams of information create the sensation that the world is moving toward a point of no return. Yet despite this, we are expected to wake up each morning, go to work, pursue our goals, and carry on as if everything is normal. At times, it feels like we are all living inside the familiar image of a dog sitting calmly in a burning room, insisting, “This is fine.”

The layered eyes and watchful presence within this composition symbolize a higher awareness that exists beyond the noise and confusion of daily life. The central figure moves forward through a maze of shapes, obstacles, and distractions, while an unseen force remains present, observing and guiding from behind the surface. The work asks us to consider what it means to trust our intuition and maintain faith when certainty is impossible.
